Editor’s Perspective

Hello All!

At the very start, I would like to say a word of thanks to the universe for creating this opportunity where I am able to jot a few lines for the readers.

Since this is the first issue of VIBE: the pulsating e-magazine, I would like to share the journey of how it all started. The idea of a magazine struck me about three years back, and slowly I started to discuss this with a very few people. During these three years, the magazine was only restricted to my thinking, and my vision of the magazine being available in bookstores and bookstalls as far as it can go was becoming clearer with each passing month.

During this time, in April 2026, an informal group of like-minded people was formed under the banner of Creative Curaators. This kind of platform was also in my mind for many years. A platform for sharing, discussing, and exchanging each other’s ideas and works pertaining to creative endeavors. This platform is gradually shaping up, and more of it is mentioned on the website.

By now, the two separate ideas—the platform and the magazine—were placed parallel to each other, and the gap was widening, making it difficult for the growth and progress of both of them. The matter was soon resolved and a decision was made. Vibe: the pulsating e-magazine will be a part of the platform of Creative Curaators.

By mid-July 2026, two meetings changed it all. In the first one, after the meeting was over, I started to question my own stand about the magazine. Is it a part of my imagination or a part of my vision? The second meeting made me ponder the nuances of a published magazine in a world which is moving towards digitalization at a pace never seen before.

At this stage, I had taken help from my childhood friend Alaka Goswami, and together we had a few rounds of talks on the pros and cons of any magazine and us being newcomers in this line of activity.

Coming back to the magazine, a choice was made. The magazine will definitely be there, but it will be an e-magazine, keeping in tune with the pulse of the digital era.

Now the next challenge was deciding upon the category of the e-magazine. Again, in a whirlwind of ideas, I finally pinned it down, the category: literary. A literary magazine was chosen so that the purpose of Creative Curaators could be achieved. It is with the motive of putting forward the works and words of already established writers, poets, and artists of all genres alongside those who are new and talented.

Vibe: the pulsating e-magazine is an attempt to bring together the creative works of great minds from their desks, diaries, and notepads to the world at large. In this age of global digitalization, the barriers of distance and accessibility have lessened, if not disappeared. Vibe: the pulsating e-magazine is only a small way by which the literary works of its contributors can be brought forth for people to read and participate in a healthy literary movement from around the world.

Since this is the first step to a more challenging journey ahead, another childhood friend was pulled in. Now, along with Aldina Zinobia, we are a trio. My esteemed readers, they have unquestionably supported and helped me irrespective of their hectic schedules and commitments—they have truly gone overboard to turn my dream into a reality.

From this point, it is not I anymore. It is US. Vibe: the pulsating e-magazine is indeed blessed with good guidance from none other than Sri Dhruba Hazarika, former bureaucrat, novelist, and the list is endless.

By the end of July 2026, the call for submissions was announced, and here Vibe: the pulsating e-magazine did receive a very applauding response within its 15-day short deadline. Since the first issue opened the gates for a literary movement of free thinkers without any artificial inhibitions, the theme was selected as Freedom and Independence.

Freedom of all forms of expression and thought, and independence from all kinds of artificial bondage—political, economic, social, cultural, and environmental—albeit within the ambit of the welfare and well-being of one and all.

We, the Team of Creative Curaators, look forward to continuing to serve our creative contributors and esteemed readers with a quarterly issue of Vibe: the pulsating e-magazine. Details of the next issue will be uploaded on the website. The Team of Creative Curaators will henceforth ensure that contributors get ample time to share at a good pace.

Once again, we thank all of you for bearing with patience and having shown immense love and trust in our endeavor to make Vibe: the pulsating e-magazine a success.

Warm regards,

Anamika Mitra
