Freedom,
Independence,
Self-government.
It’s August, the fifteenth
We rejoice breaking the shackles.
The world stands witnessing the victory,
The stories of unflinching courage and sacrifice
We need to be told of, some known and some unknown
The faces that stood firm on a ground smeared with forced subordination
The dream of a strong independent nation that treated everyone well and equal
We salute the brave hearts, the valiant and united ancestors of our proud Nation, India.
